Myrsini Margariti, soprano

Soprano Myrsini Margariti, is a versatile singer with a very wide repertoire, including works from baroque to contemporary music. She is praised by the critics for her profound musicality, virtuosity, clarity of sound and striking stage presence. Born in the city of Larissa, she studied voice and violin at the National Conservatory in Athens and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Musicology from the University of Athens. She completed two Master’s Degrees in “Lied and Oratorio” and “Opera and Musical Theater” with the highest honors, at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. During her studies she was granted the “Alexander Onassis Foundation” and the “Juergen Ponto Stiftung” Scholarship. From 2006 to 2009 Myrsini Margariti was a member of the ensemble at the Halle Opera in Germany. Guest appearances include among others, the Salzburg Theatre, German Opera Houses (Darmstadt, Erfurt, Komburg, Gota), the Opera of Windertur (Switzerland), the Bozar – Palais des beaux arts (Brussels), at the G.N.O, the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, the Athens State House of Arts and Letters, etc., as well as renowned festivals, such as Proms (England), Athens& Epidaurus Festival, Aegean Festival and the Ancient Corinth Opera Festival. She has given concerts in Mexico, Turkey, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, England, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. She participated in the recordings of Apollo & Daphne by Handel (Orchestra of the International Handel Festival, V. Forck), The Art of Melancholia (music by G. Psichogiou), CLAUDE DEBUSSY la musique à moi (Utopia Records/Small Arctos), Epitaph Days and Myths of Aesop (D. Papadimitriou).

 

Yannis Filias, tenor

He was born in Athens. He studied piano, music theory, dance and classical singing at the Hellenic Conservatory, as well as acting at Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun. A graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens and of the Higher Drama School of the New Greek Theatre, he has worked with musicians and theatre companies such as the National Opera, ERT Music Ensembles, National Theatre, Greek Art Theatre, Greek Composers’ Union, the Orchestra of Colours, Camerata – Armonia Atenea, Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra, Athens State Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Orchestra, Olympia – Maria Callas Municipal Music Theatre, Onassis Cultural Centre, Piraeus Municipal Theatre, Badminton Theatre, Athens Concert Hall, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Athens – Epidaurus Festival, Glass Music Theatre, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, with composers such as Theodoros Antoniou, Giorgos Koumentakis, Alkis Baltas, Christos Leontis, Lena Platonos, Dionysis Tsaknis, Charalambos Gogios, Sophia Kamagianni, Dimitris Maramis, Theodore Abazis, as well as with directors such as Spyros Evaggelatos, Kostas Gavras, Kostas Koutsomytis, Olga Malea, Thomas Moschopoulos, Carmen Ruggeri, Stamatis Fassoulis, Christoforos Papakaliatis, Arnaud Bernard, Simos Kakallas, Esther Andre Gonzalez, Victor Ardittis, Vassilis Nicolaides, Apostolia Papadamaki, Parris Mexis, Renato Zanella, Nikos Diamantis, Petros Zoulias, Themelis Glinatsis, Eleni Efthymiou, Thanos Papakonstantinou, George Koutlis etc. Since 2018 he has been working as a music producer at the Third Programme of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation.
